Heater Fan (motor)

Gradually getting my new Tranny sorted, but just another quick question.

The fan heater motor does not work on any speed. The fuse is ok, other than that, I've not yet looked any further..............

Are the motors prone to failure ? If so, are they easy to replace?

If the resistor pack burns out, does the fan stop working entirely (i thought it just run at top speed)?

There is a relay fitted on the side of the motor, prolly worth checking.

Also pretty sure that there is a push reset thermister on the motor may require resetting.

i am not sure about how difficult it is to do in situ because i took mine apart on a workbench, but the motor came out nice and easy, the only thing i see that might be awkward the amount of clearance needed to remove the fan/motor when the unit is still fitted



as for a new fan/motor ..... theres one on ebay at the moment

and yes if what i have been told is true, if this unit goes, then it usually results in the fan only running at high speed
