Air-con help!!

Hi All, I have a 04 tourneo and have just had my aircon regassed, have only had the van 6 months, so first time ive needed it .

I'm not that impressed with the coldness of the air, my questions sre , how can you make it colder if its full of gas, does the aircon in the front work the rear as well? because thats not that cold either, thanks in advance,,,tim

If you put the fan on Recirculate then it will bring the temperature down a bit quicker.
See if the larger pipe to the compressor is getting cold. If it is then the gas is still expanding and there is probably enough in the system. The smaller pipe from the compressor to the condenser (in front of the engine radiator) should get hot.
What is the temperature at the vents? Should be under 10 deg C. The cold air soon mixes with that in the cabin so you need to stick the thermometer probe right in the vent.
Both front and rear systems use the same compressor/refrigerant.
On my Tourneo the air in the rear system is not as cold as that from the front. Losses from long pipework? Smaller evaporator? Bigger area to cool? Don't know.

do the fans kick in and duz it have a pollon filter as some early ones do.?? allso try and keep van roof in garage (or shellter) over night b4 going out as that takes a lot too cool down when stood in sun.
