Leccy Actuator drivers side on a 1999 model (mk5?)

Postby barneyh » Mon May 24, 2010 1:21 pm

Hi All,

I've got a LWB semi high top 1999 transit, it has electric windows and the drivers side window slips so cant open it without the risjk of it not going up again, not ideal when its a bit warm as it is.

I took off the door card and removed the motor to find the actulator has worn teeth and needs replacing, Ford quoted £170.00 to replace the whole mechanism.

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction to find the cheapest solution.

Thanks for reading and any advice you may give.

Ford Transit 120 TDI EPIC Automatic. 0-60 in a leisurely and smooth 12.7 seconds and 1/4 mile in 19.1 seconds. Now where's all these faster? manual Di s?
