Central doorlocking /unlocking

Postby stevie b » Thu May 27, 2010 10:07 pm

Hi there, have looked for the answer to this question but cudnt find anything specific so thought would ask myself!
I have a an 04 lwb and when i try to lock the van with the fob and or use the key in the door the side and rear doors lock but the front doors unlock straight away. 1 or 2 presses and still the front doors unlock.
I have checked all relevant fuses.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated as the front of my van is permanently unlocked!!!
Everything else works, immobilliser, alarm etc.

check the rear door wiring loom as they rub through..also make sure the passenger door is closing properly as well.

Wiring fault as stated or could be a faulty front door latch.

Hey there great news.
Before i wrote my post i looked at other similar posts and answers and couldnt find one similar.
But a lot of the answers including the two new replys to my post were the same.
The wiring loom in the rear door, and you guys were spot on.
I stripped the panels off and there were two severed wires, i held them together and my central locking works perfectly.
Ive used four household electrical blocks and extended the leangth of the two wires and covered it in electrical tape and its sorted.
Once again this forum has helped me and i allways recommend it to mates with trannys (vans!)
Thanx again.

if you have doors wide open always feed looms back in when closing doors, as they do get folded over, and eventually break
