Cold engine white exhaust smoke

Postby daniele » Tue Jun 01, 2010 11:50 am

Hello,
my first post here.
My MK6 transit (it's an autocaravan 2402 tddi from year 2000) after beeing stopped for winter started to smoke (white) and is reluctant to take rpm until it's temperature is the working temp.
Already changed fuel filter (I though diesel was frozen during winter and leaving water inside), done at least three full load of fuel, egr is closed (but even re-opened does not change the problem), K&N air filter fitted (last year before the problem), complete intake and injectors cleaning with a special foam, and liquid (not dismounted)
Last chance is to replace the oil (previous mechaninc has put a 10w40) with a 5W30 A1 specific (synth).
What do you think?

Thank you.

Has it had a good run since it's been sat?

Do not remember if the radiator fan have to be running even just started because mine is running always (at low speed I might say but always...never heard an overheating fan job).
I'll check the wire
thank you for now
