1997 Fordtransit petrol

Postby dannys » Wed Jun 02, 2010 7:38 am

Hello Folks,
I have a 1997 Ford Transit swb petrol.
It has begun leaking water from the point between the head and the plastic manifold assembly which incorporates the thermostat housing, and i assume inlet manifold as the throttle body also connects to it. The leak is at the front near the thermostat housing, however it appears that i will have to remove the entire unit, to replace the gasket. This on initial inspection looks like it is going to be a dog of a job.
I have been unable to find any diagrams on line to assist / educate me in this repair, and was wondering if any of the punters here may have any experience with this engine, who may ease or add to my woe.

Cheers
Dan
