side door want open mk6 transit

hi every one new to this bought a 2003 lwb med roof 350 90 transit rwd 2 weeks ago on ebay ad few problems but getting there you no one problem i have at minute is the side door it only open now and again i can hear it locking and unlocking but when i pull handle to open door nothing happens lol cleaned all contackts took interiyer panel of unlocked on fob then tryed pulling were cable goes at lock end but no joy think some thing wrong in side the central locking lock any advice any body please

Be carefull pulling cables inside door,if either of them have the slightest tension in them latch will not work properly,unclip the cable (outer handle to latch) & try it.
If someone has pulled on the inner handle to latch cable it can come out of sleeve into inner handle,the resulting tension will stop latch working right

I have this problem too. downside on mine is that i have 2 bulkheads. front and middle. i phoned ford and they said it needs a new latch mech. is this right or can we fix them??

I had a similar problem on 2001Vh. door would lock but not unlock. I pulled door off took lock totally out of door, ground off rivets holding 3 parts together and had to chisel away some white plastic that was stopping an arm from moving into place to allow unlocking. bolted parts back together and reassembled. its better than new.
