Mk 5 LWB 190 2x4 with County rear axle

Postby Choppergeoff » Thu Jun 17, 2010 10:53 am

Hi everyone :D
I recently bought a Mk 5 LWB 190 with a smashed rear axle.
I also bought a replacement axle from a breakers. It came with an anti roll bar fitted and I asked the garage to retain it when they fitted the new axle. they could'nt fit it because there were no mounts on the chassis. however, I was looking on the 4x4 section of the forum and saw a County axle in one of the photos.it was fitted with an anti roll bar. Does this mean my 2x4 has a 4x4 County rear axle? and if so, what would the available ratios be? and where do you find any identity marks?
All help gratefully received.
Thanks Geoff 8)
