Securing a bull bar?

Hi guys,

Just want to know how other people secure their bullbars on the MK6 so they don't get pinched ?

Any ideas or photos would be great!

When you Have 1 it will become apparent the holes on the bar will line up with the holes on the bumper remove bolts and then bolt on

He's not asking how they are fitted, he's asking how you fit them so they don't get pinched.

I know how they go onto the front, Im asking what people use to secure them to the front, i.e locking wheel bolt or something similar..

If I was doing it I'd use stainless shear nuts.

ok, i have heard of these. Without sounding like a complete idiot, what size/dimesion should I ask for ?? a 10mm for instance??

Depends what size the thread is on the fitting kit.

Screwfix do a selection of security shear nuts in various thread sizes. Alternatively, do what I did and hit a couple of the fixing bolts with a MIG, weld the nut to the bolt so it can only be removed by grinder. Unless you plan on removing the bars frequently, then this should stop your common-or-garden theiving scumbag from making off with your A-bar or nudgebar.

So I am guessing the bolts on the front bumper that mounts the bullbar are M10 size
