starting a mk6

hi guys i changed the fuel filter on my mk6 2.0 fwd transit i filled the fillter with clean fuel put it on the van it started first time then cut out and cant get it started again any help would be great

Take filter back off and fill with diesel to the top and refit, this time when you start it you need to give it some revs for a couple of minutes.

Mrmpuk is correct,i had to do this 2 or 3 times before my mk6 would run properly,didnt fill diesel filter to brimm

hi as per last post i did what mr puk says refilled the fuel filter tried to start the van the battery was just about dead so put jump leads on with another battery and i connected them up wrong (what a a---hole i know) there was a load of sparks what if any damage will this do i have my battery on charge will it just start or have i blown anything help please

i had to brimm filter then bleed injector pipes,fill filter again bleed pipes again then she ran perfect.

u just made yourself a nice little welder :lol: shouldnt have done any harm if you were quick to take them of.
