hi there all
i have a small problem my van has lost reverse gear it worked one day and the next day it stop and has never worked again it made no noise or nothing is this common???????

has'nt happened to me yet,in over 500,000 miles ,with three transits.

very usuall on the type 9 but not normaly on the MT, it has syncro on reverse to help it last better.

i have only ever known 1 mt box to lose reverse, it was after we put a clutch in it, next day it wouldnt work. all the forward gears were perfect, just reverse for some reason, so we changed the box and be done with it

Never lost reverse, I would just chuck the box away, there are plenty about!
