2.0 swb 51 transit

hi guys a question for you i have a mk6 2.0 transit swb fwd 51 reg my friend has the same van on a 53 reg but the engines are different how i know that is i wasasking him were his egr valve was and he showed me which was at the front of his engine but when i look at my engine its not there so can anybody tell me were to look my engine is a dura di engine

EGR valve is on the back of the engine.
