intercooler

Hy,

When i drive my 2.5Di 76Ps there's a significant difference in power in the morning (when it's cold) and the afternoon (guess what; when it's hot! ). The only thing I can imagine that the difference comes from this. So could I fit just an Intercooler to compensate the temperature rise?

Anyone tried this yet?

I don't want to go as far as fitting a turbo'd engine in the van. Or is there a way you can just put the turbo and intercooler on the original (banana) intake manifold? (Since it also has no airco I think I will resell the whole van in a year or two and swop it for a newer version).

The air temperature has a great effect on the volumetric efficiency of engines, the colder the denser it becomes, and the warmer it is the less dense it becomes, Because your engine is nat/asp and not forced induction I don't think for the time effort it would be worth it, for what minute difference it would make. Cold crisp winter days are not far away?
