My old works Mk6 van used to do that, due to a faulty microswitch withing the drivers door mechanism, if you rattled the handle outside it would then unlock the cab again!!
However on a Mk7 due to the complexity and stupidity of the CanBus system it is quite possibe that this could happen, could even have picked up a radio signal from something nearbye.
As for CanBus, as an electronics engineer it still puzzles me why it was ever used or needed on vehicles, as now more cabling and electronics is required to do a simple job such as turn on a light, it used to be so easy, switch put feed to bulb job done, but not anymore. Switch sends pulsed signal to microporcessor, which then interprets signal and operates correct output, which usually switches a relay, or direclty sources or sinks a supply to said light WHY, ok use engine management to control emissions etc, but why alter the rest of the wiring. Now the harness used to operate everything has to have another one run with it to carry the data from all the switches, and completely un repairable without the use of another computer!!
Enough of my ranting though, i'll start another thread one day about CanBus, and see if you can all convince me why its better, as god knows i'll take some convincing.
