MY TRANSIT LPG PROBLEMS please help

hi i my 53 plate 2.3 lpg transit is running crap on gas and petrol but the gas is worst.
when im on gas clicks in perfect but when i rev it , lets say over 3000rpm to 7000+ on the way back down when i rev it just bogs down and cuts out. but if i dont rev it on the way back down its ok.
its complicated for me to explain but i hope you know what i mean.
and its reving high up to 4000 rpm but as soon as i slow down to about 10mph it goes down to 1500 rpm and stays there. is that the icv causing that.
on petrol its missing at low rpm when it gets to about 4-5000 rpm runs fine.
please help me its costing me a fortune to run on petrol ive started my own bussiness up and its killing me money wise.

Hi amr.etc,

You do get help on here when you`ve got problems,but as I have found out it can take a bit of time!!There don`t seem to be that many LPG owners or if there are they either don`t know about or don`t share their problems.Those that do ,I have found very friendly and helpful.

If it`s the factory fit system(like mine)yo.u can replace coil packs at about £80 ish each and you could change the spark plugs for Iridium.Two filters could be changed as we do tend to have dirty LPG in Britain.Otherwise it needs a decent service at an LPG specialist.

I only get about 170miles from a tank and that seems to be the norm.Sometimes runs great for weeks and sometimes not so good.

And the burnt valves would be in the cylinder head, if you do a compression test that should tell you if there are any wrong, if you get a code read it might give you some more info on what the electronic brain thinks is wrong!

As for plugs I was told that most LPG systems prefer good basic copper core ones for better heat transfer? having siad that the same adviser suggested Silver plugs from Brisk which I took out at the weekend on my wifes skoda and one of the centre electrodes had disintegrated!

For those in the know- why do these burn valves? it is the crap seat inserts that ford use or a side effect of something else?
