Extra Seats?

Postby OceanWave4789 » Mon Aug 23, 2010 11:43 am

Hi there

I am new to this forum, so hope this is in the right section!
I have a 2007(new shape) SWB Ford Transit.

I am looking for extra seats to fit in the back and wondering if anyone knows where I can get them from? Without going direct to Ford dealership as I'm sure they will charge a fortune.

Cheers, Karl.

Cheers for that. I gave them a quick call. £370 for a single seat! I was expecting it to be around £80 a seat.

Oh well.

Cheers anyway.

have you spoken to your insurance comp[any as they may have certain rules for the fitting and they will have an extra premium too probably

tell your insurance as they may not pay out as you will have modified your vehicle and if you have passengers they may not pay for any medical bills etc

Ive just got some seats for the back for when we go to the beach or a day out,I will not be carrying anyone in the back when driving they will be used only when van is parked and I want to make them removable so I can use the van for work.
Do you think I should tell insurance.?

Yes, as Neil has said, and he used to be in insurance, so knows the pitfalls

We supply steelwork for a company that does these van conversions, they had to have the whole thing crash tested for approval.... it's almost like another sub floor raising the back floor about 2" overall...
