transit performance help??

hello, i have a 56 plate tranny its 85/300 and its unbelievably slowwwwwww yawn yawn im just wondering if there a diy way of getting a little more power out of it??

yes a rechip really helps plus egr blanking stops the inlet manifold gunking up..is the glow plug light flashing by any chance? also make sure the fuel filter is recent and free from water in the water trap.
