Service book ?

Postby jubilee » Mon Sep 27, 2010 9:20 pm

I never got a service book when I bought my Transit Mk6, it was a small place not a Ford dealer, all they had was a printout thing showing it had been serviced - which I never got ...

So I have no record of any of the servicing done to it.

I have last years MOT certificate which has Evans Halshaw down as the tester. Not exactly sure which one as I know there are many of them and I dont have the certificate in front of me, I know it is is the W Midlands somewhere though.

Any dealers out there ? would they be likely to have a record of the service history of my van ?
I am guessing that as they did the MOT then the van may have been serviced at the same time !

What can I do about a service book - to put in any old service history I find out and also to get stamps to continue / restart the service history ?

Where can I find online details on servicing requirements for my van as I dont have the service book, I have no idea what is done - or what should be done - service intervals and so on.
I am just guessing that when its current MOT is up end of Oct - then that is when a service is due.
It has done 77,000 miles appx to date = 2005 MK6

Thanks

You can look at what is required at different services at www.etis.ford.com . You can print the full ford service sheets out here.

Your van will be due a 75,000 mile service. As for your history the only places that will have it are the garages that have done the servicing.

Not much help but you can also view the last 4 MOTs here: http://motinfo.direct.gov.uk/internet/jsp/ECHID-Internet-History-Request.jsp
