Speedometer problems/ and starter

Postby auradove » Fri Oct 08, 2010 12:12 am

Hi , I have been having problems with my van for several months now.
Firstly the starter motor is still having probs starting , some times its ok first time, other times i try 20 times.
I discovered some water in connections around the fuse box in engine, but this have been dried out and no corrosion found, and relay replaced for ignition.
Now this week the ignition lights do not come on when i turn key, even if ingine starts, the speedometer has stopped and the miliage counter, also i think the other dials, fuel etc have froze,
And to top it off today when i drive , it feels like there is a misfire or deadspot? like a pulling, this was not happening before.
I dont have a clue where to begin with all of this,
Do i see an auto electrician? i dont know if they are linked or just coinsidence.
Any advice Greatly appreciated, as i dont have the money to waste :(

I have a ford transit 2003 diesel mini bus 2.4 which has only done 50k
thankyou

Starter's probably due to the DMF breaking up.

Electrical faults sound like this.
