Ball and Socket throttle joint

Postby jayseeblue » Sun Oct 10, 2010 10:44 am

Hi, I have a problem with my "M" reg 1994 Tranit LWB 2.5 Diesel. The socket keeps coming off the ball joint for the throttle arm, this is the joint on the 4" or so arm that if you stand looking at the engine it's the joint furthest away from you on the arm. It just snaps back on but a few miles later it falls off. Is there some kind of clip I'm missing that holds it there in place? Thanks to any replies.

Or do you mean the solid rod that goes between the injection pump and the EGR?

hmmm yes matt you might be right. (tie strap the air intake butterfly open anyway) it will run better open and do away with the rod.
