Most powerful brakes fitted?

Postby martyb » Sat Nov 13, 2010 12:40 pm

Hi. Hope some one can help with this. I am trying to find out what have been the most powerful brake calipers ever fitted to a transit. I am only interested in the non sliding type. I know there were plenty of the 4 pot type used but where there any better ones ever fitted (possibly used by the special vehicle options team?) and what model were they, and who used them?
Fingers crossed you lot can help

Thanks for the reply. You are right in thinking they are not to be used on a Transit (just looking for an edge). I would of thought certain vehicles supplied to the Highland rescue/military ect. may have had a higher specification type caliper fitted?
If all else fails, does anyone know the name of a clever old technical person at Ford commercial s.v.o I could contact?
Thanks
