There is probably a relay that's not working, try the fuse box

I presume that you have checked to see if they are plugged in to the factory connectors on the "chassis rails" at the front. Two sockets are just clipped up normally.

Does your van have the two position fog (pull, pull)switch as my Mk6 originally only had the one pull that operated the rear fogs.If the fronts were after market wired they should really be fitted with a relay.Probably under the passenger side tray.

Can't see a manufacturer running a cable of that ampage to fog/spots via a dash switch, it must have a relay...

hi thanks for reply yes it has the front fog switch as purchased a new one as the one in there was just the one pull out switch, have checked all fuses, and wires are all connected on chassis rails, if its a relay any idea which one it will be thanks.

If the van didn't originally have the front fog switch then the wires may not be in the connector for the light switch. There should be an Orange/Yellow wire from switch to front fogs - make sure it is in the connector and loom. Check if the front fog indicator on the dash works.
