fan heater w reg 2000

Ive got the same trouble - fuses ok, new switch, new resistor, got power to the fan connecter. When you switch it on the heater lights on the control panel come on, and when you put the headlights on the lights on the panel go off. Still the fan will not work. I think somebody has fitted another fan unit and there is a wire missing somewhere. 4 wires come in from fuse box side, but only 3 wires come out . It's doing my head in!!ruston
