My 2.5 Diesel Transit, poss diesel problems. Please Help

Hello all,

I have a 1998 Ford Transit 2.5 Diesel. It does'nt start, it turns over but just does'nt seem to catch. i got it running earlier today, with a bit of easy start and it was running but running very rough and nothing happened when accelerating. I had it running for about 10 minutes then cut out and would start again! (possible injector pump or injector problems) I have changed the lift pump and it does'nt seem to be that. i have opened all the 4 injectors and all 4 have diesel coming out of them. My thoughts are for some reason there is not enough diesel getting around the engine. There is over a quarter of a tank of diesel in it. It sounds like it wants to start but something stopping it from doing so. Any of you guys had a similar experience, all your opinions will be much appreciated.

A change of fuel filter might help, fill the new one to the brim, refit it, get somebody to turn the engine over whilst you slack off each injector one at a time and when fuel starts showing retighten, should fire up unless there is another problem

When did it last get a timing belt? May be stretched putting timing out

on the back of the injector pump where the return pipe goes back to the fuel filter housing ull notice the bolt holding the pipe in is a long one it has inside it a spring and ball bearing and i think a gause fillter make sure it is all clean inside and bleed from there i had this prob and it sorted it but on the same note on another ocation it was fillter head

allso check fuel feed pipes at the back of the head above gearbox bell housing (on the bracket that no one puts back when g/box comes off) may be choped...??? due to vibration.
