my heater has stoped working on 1st and 2nd setting

hi folks hope santa was good to you all!the heater in my van has stoped working on the 1st and 2nd setting it was making a squealing noise for the last few days now it wont work atal any ideas of to repair it

Its probably the heater resistor,not sure where it is but others might.
