Sierra 2ooocc Injection engine

When I find my panel van I was thining of puting the engine from a 2000cc injection sierra, along with the gearbox.
Aswell as the brain and bosh fuel pump for the fuel tank,prop and gearbox cross member what other problems do you think it will throw up???

which one pinto or dohc??
im looking into fitting a dohc in my mk1!!!
Bortaf is going to fit a pinto inj to his mk2 camper!!!

I fitted a pinto inj to my mk1 escort problems i can think of - fuel pump (electric) and return to tank!!

Top tip use a granada wiring loom - it's spearate to the car's loom wheras on a sierra it isnt - i used sierra one then found that out

other problems, cant think of any!! if your replacing a pinto for pinto power steering pump to get rid off - not much of a problem!!

Yeah just a pinto, I like the old pinto didn't think it was much of a problem to do, thanks for the granada tip!

oh yeah just re read the 1st post - the origanal mk2 4speed will fit though!!! or best to go mt75 like gunslinger has!!!

You'll need a swirl pot fitted into the tank, i'll be getting mine back next week hopfully i'll post some pics and if ya like the job i'll pass on the chaps number who's doing it.
The granny loom is a top tip, soooooooo much easyer (check my web site for wiring info) use the origional fuel feed as a return from the fuel rail.
I've just bought another 2.0i granny on ebay for £50 , it's the cheapest way to get all you need
I have to change my Mk2 to auto so the 5 speed type 9 will be up for sale but not a proper crossmember
