I remember there was a Morrison-Electrofreeze Anglia featured in Practical Classics magazine six or seven years ago! If I remember right, they wanted to found a UK club for classic ice-cream vans and cars in this time, maybe there's a club now and they can help you! Sadly I don't have this magazine any longer, otherwise I could tell the name of the persons!

Rover.

This one, along with Catalano & Antonio (all used the same designed Leyland FG models with fins at the back) used to park at various stops in my old area plus at fairs, beauty spots, etc. They all seemed to disappear around early to mid-90s.

I don't suppose, you being this lucky to find one, could find me another pic of the "Off side" part of the ice cream van?

Now am on the look out for a suitable Leyland FG model for me to convert into an ice cream van... :)
I can post some if you like
But it doesn't feel right as they're not Transits.

Commers and the Leyland FGs were 'popular' at the time as they could take the weight :!:
They usually had a seperate engine to drive the machine

This is pre-'direct drive' era :D

Andyg, Absolutely fabolous photos of the Leyland FG ice cream van & they'll come in handy. So far I've not been able to get hold of a Leyland FG Corgi model for me to model it on, but still on the look out at Toy fairs, Model shows, etc...

Gizmo
Oxford Diecasts are releasing a Bedford CA ice cream van in Mr Softee colours, 43rd scale before May.
Base models are releasing an FG boxvan in Hanson and Kosset carpets liveries, this year but I believe they are 76th scale. I don't know if Corgi did an FG , You could try Steve Flowers he does parts & restorations but keeps some older models too.
