it probably choked and died because someone accused it of being copyright material...

Sounds like it is incomplete. The TIS is generally sold on DVD because it wont fit on a standard CD-ROM(700mb), from memory I think it is about 820mb which I normally burn to an 800mb CD and overwrite to fit it all on and have never had any problems.

Not wanting to say what is right or wrong here but mine is 1816 files, 201 folders, 680mb (on a CD) and has always worked fine

i am looking at a couple of discs on the dreaded ebay at the moment, but i bought one for my bmw a year ago and it didnt work. i could do with the manual for the new shape tranny (mk6) anyone got one for sale. :| 8)

Side note - I found that had to extract the zip file, burn it to disc and then install from the disc, rather than just installing from the uncompressed archive. It brought up an error every time I tried to install from hard drive.


It will not install from the hard drive but will work fine if you burn the files to a cd and name the cd " Isen0401" (without the quotes) then install it. I guess the program looks for a cd with that name works fine for me :)

surely the best and only way to buy with total confidence is to buy a vehicle that you know well .....preferably from a m8... 9 x out 10 times thats what i have done ...works for me. brtter the devil you know !!!!!!! :wink:
