Why bid for somethuing then refuse to pay when you see it, surely you have entered into a binding contract ??

well, i went to see it and it was making a real bad knocking sound from the clutch. maybe the dual mass flywheel. i dunno. with it ticking over, i had my left foot resting on the clutch and it was knocking every now and then and i could feel it coming through the clutch pedal. it was tapping against the bottom of my foot. but when the guy started it up, he straight away turned the stereo full blast boasting how good it was. he knew full well that it was narnerd. if people stated what the problems were when they listed them, then there would not be any problems. the seller never told the full truth when listing it hoping some dunce would just take it away. i agree, you are entering into a contract when winning the bid, but when he states that it is ok and it clearly is not, then surely he has not described it as it realy is. when you buy vehicles from auctions, you have an hour to try them out and if there are any faults found which the seller has not stated, then it gets backed. job done.
