Gear Box // Give away

Hi there im new to this site, recently i purchaced a 2.0 pinto mtr and g/box out of a transit van,i dont know what year it came out of i have no use for the g/box if u want it e-mail me @ dnorris12@bigpond.com. 0429 657 070 The bell housing measures 335 mm internally clutch and fly wheel, starter motor,adaptor plate mtr to g/box as well come with it.

The g/box is tiny (4 speed )the selector has been cut, the selector is side mounted or off set to the left Im in Adelaide Sth Australia if its not gone with in 7 days of this advert it will binned

Hello mate and welcome to the site :) the gearbox would be usefull to someone but the postage to the uk would be dear :shock: :lol: :wink:

Are you able to tell more about it ?
Is it a standard 4 speed ?
close Ratio box i couldnt belive the size of the bell housing and clutch & Pressure plate behind a Pinto mtr, is there a Transit van club in Australia with member who could use it ?

Welcome. There are quite a few members on here from Oz and NZ, dont bin it too quickly it might take awhile for people to take notice of your ad. :wink:

This sounds like the old TYPE 9 gearbox from around the 80's and they fit the 2.5di these are hard to come by so don't bin it. To get 100% id would need a picture of it .

type 9 was a five speed box also fitted to sierras and granadas, if its a 4 speed it will be either a "J" or "F" type although most "J " types had overdrives on them :D from the mk3 transit
