mafty wrote:Looks great - what type of electric polisher have you got? I'm looking at getting one myself and don't want to end up buying a duff!

Also, what's with the heat gun method on the bumpers? How's that done?

Cheers,

Sorry i haven't been on in a while, i bought a rotary polisher, quite expensive £200 its an 3m rotary polisher.

I wouldn't bother with the heat gun method, it can be done but it's gonna take you quite abit of time to do so! Plus spraying them doesn't take long and looks far better imo!!

This is just a little update to where i am now.

Insulated the van completely.

And fitted some industrial lino too.

I've got a rock and roll bed frame from a friend who no longer needed it, so i'll be fitting wooden boards to it soon and getting it covered with foam and fabric.

Things left to do:
Paint Roof Satin Black
Sort out a few rust patches once i've matched the orange paint
Change double front seats for a single one and fit swivels.
Get side and rear tinted windows fitted.

The van past its MOT with flying colours on friday! The underneath is super clean too!

That's a nice neat job you've done. :D

What kind of insulation have you used, and did you glue it on?

I've insulated it with foil lined bubble wrap which you can pick up from most diy stores, and glued it on with high temp spray adhesive
