2012 Motorhome Project

Postby skoTner » Sun Aug 18, 2013 10:14 pm

I have this '12 Hobby Motorhome based on the Mk7 Transit... wanted to do something few motorhome owners do, to "pimp it up". The 18" ST wheels, the ST front and so on. So I thought I'd share the progress with ya'll.

Start off with some present pictures:

Mod 1:
First mod was to upgrade all the bulbs to LED, even the low- and high beams. Tried several LEDs I have found on eBay and finally got a complete set that looks nice. Parking, fogs, low- and high beam, turn signal, marking and so on... A short video to show the front:

I'd start with some ST seats, last time I saw covers like that it had a 'Shackletons' badge on 'em ;)

Dont forget though the cab seats will match the rest of the motorhome upholstery , which always seems to be brown/beige or cream etc these days. Our current camper has beige velour seats too... They'd get so filthy we've put throws over the seats. Also bought a cheap set of van seat covers for when it goes for a service for obvious reasons.

get a bit of colour on the front end. Bumper and grill look like a mass of black.

You can easily remove the covers and wash them in the washing machine ;)

Bump

Did you have to add any resistors to run the led indicators?

Cheers
