It may be a nice day... but visting you will add about 50 miles to my journey today!

And no I haven't but unless you want to replace parts for the sake of it... you need to do it.

To get the heater switch out you need to get the stereo fascia off anyway to get at the top retaining screw!

where are the wires on the motor plug?

i'm afraid i've given up now, can't get it in my shed high enough to do the box, real shame but is now on ebay and i'm looking for one that works, still drives ok but it's just easier for me to buy one that already has 4th gear! would make ideal manual conversion
