We are now able to complete the development of the next stage of engine conversions.
The idea is to use this van to develop a range of petrol engine conversions as we did for the Mk3/4/5 range, a number of different engines will be used, Essex V6, Cologne V6 and the RV8 will be worked on first as I still feel that these engines are the simplest retro-fit for the DIY enthusiast.
As can be seen, there is a fair amount of space in the engine bay once the Duratorq has been removed;

As always we will provide the 'kits' so as to retain the existing rear wheel drive gearbox, this way no prop shaft modifications will be required and the gear lever will remain in the same position. The hydraulic clutch actuation will also be retained, but most importantly, speedometer function will be unaffected.
We will post progress reports of our work over the coming weeks/months, eventually leading to 'kits' being made available to forum members.
Your opinions and suggestions are welcome on this thread, we openly recognise that you lot are our customers.
More soon,
TIM
