Ford Transit 1999.

Hello!

Ford 2.5td 63kw engine with automatic gearbox. 5 seater with lift for disabled people. It was converted so that driver's seat goes back and turns 90 degree's to ease disabled people's access for driver's seat. Gas and brake pedals were equipped with levers, so You can drive without using feet. Our family bought this Ford 2013 september to transport our grandfather in wheelchair. Those gas and brake levers only disturbed driving abilities, they interfiered with legs when using pedals. so, those are removed now.
This Transit had 102t km milage. Oil changed. Had some repairs in rear drum brakes, front disc brake pads. But the body is in really good condition. New batteries, both. Deta Senator. But it still had some issues with firing up.

Now 10t km are driven, next oil change. I'm surprised, that it has consumed or leaked oil just below to the minimum oil level with this low mileage. I'll clean the engine bay and look for where it's leaking. It is a bit wet for first glance.

In october,I guess, batteries boiled up. One of the battery eyes popped out. Electrolite spit everywhere in engine bay. I tried to neutralize that acid with soda. The cause was faulty generator. It made out 17.8volts. And starter also was in very poor condition. So those to are new. After some work with Opel's, Audi's, I thaught it was pretty hard - Transit has not very spacious engine bay.

Now- new engine oil, filter, diesel filter. Front disc brakes are almost gone too. That will be job that I'll skip and give it to mechanics. Oh,and dirver's electrical window doesn't work. The gear sector has no teeth, I bought one but haven't replaced that. Also had a bit of luck and helped one man to move to different place and he got some spare winter tyre's on Transit wheels.

As I'm doing some work on it by myself, owner's manual would be very helpful. Tried to find some pdf, but with no luck.

Brakes in front are replaced. Exhaust after turbine elbow teared in half. That is welded back together.

Automatic geearbox has some issues. It doesn't want to change gears from 1st to 2nd. It swithces only if I let of the gas pedal, before that You could just put gas pedal down and gearbox changes gears without any problems. Now only if gas is let off a bit and then press it down again. What could be the problem? It only happens from 1st to 2nd, other changes go smooth.

Could this be the right oil for Ford automatic gearbox?

Yes it is, but you'll only need that much if you're changing all the oil.
Have you checked the level with a warm running engine :?:
