Driver's Transit Connect

Postby NDriver » Sun May 03, 2015 4:58 pm

Hi fellow tranny lovers (oooo err)

Been lurking for a long time and finally got my TC taxed and on the road so thought I'd start a thread.

Here's my Connect SWB T200 90lx

Image

completely stock and needs a bit of love at the moment. Cracked grill, riveted back bumper, no roof rail bungs to fill holes in the roof etc so after a good service and having the cambelt done I'll crack on. I'm a HGV driver and a massive fan of lights, bars and lights  so watch this space !

First up though, I've got a set of seat covers and mats ready to go in to keep it clean inside  Nothing special, just black tailor fit seat covers and black/black carpet mats.

I actually really like the colour and was the deal clincher that made me go for the van. Sadly it's not as tidy as it looks :( no rust thankfully but riddled with tiny dents and scratches so I have some work to do lol.

today's progress is keeping them seats clean and more homely flooring ...

Everything off eBay, mats fit perfect as do the seat covers baring the passenger headrest which it just feels like ti should be an inch taller .... I'll drop the seller a message and see how I get on.

Off to France with work again tomorrow so will leave it with my diesel mech for a full service (With ford filters of course) and a cam belt swap as the history is lacking a little.
Went to truck fest today too soo have plenty of cheesy trucking ideas

General update to help me keep track more than anything else.
Full service (oil, filter, air filter, fuel filter) and timing belt done yesterday :) Hopefully that will keep her happy for a while.
Then threw some M8 bolts in the roof rail holes and took her to the Kosovan car wash to make her look a bit better as it's been stupid dusty round here recently.
No pictures as nothing has changed in it's appearance as yet.
