sorry to butt in , but the 4.6 was the worst variant of the V8.. used to suffer a lot with liner slip, porous blocks etc..
4.0 is way better,4.2 even better if you can find one.. unless you can get a hold of a 5.0 TVR based V8... :twisted:

I thrashed a low mileage 4.6 continuously for 1 year and it never missed a beat.. might have been just lucky but there's one good nod for that lump....

guy, I wonder how long that mt75 will last on the back of that v8 :)

what you doing with the outriggers etc. guy? building them from scratch or welding back on the originals?

The front one bolts on and rear will be custom ones to take air bags.

Adding a pannard rod aswell

got one engine mount in today, used the range rover mount rubbers and made up box section brackets welded to chassis

Have mounted the engine as far forward as i could as i need room for a clutch pedel, works out well with the bullnose front and will be remote mounting the radiator to the rear of cab for more room

Mock engine in place today. Got room for a clutch pedal.

Made up crossmember so will be on mounts tomorrow. Might even try the 4.6 for size
