Next up was the back, hours and hours of clearing, sorting and arranging. Half a wheelie bin of rubbish and a load of scrap!

And yes this is after I tidied, can see the new lights in this one as well

IMG_3100.JPG

Need to add a bit more storage for my hoovers, dust sheets etc

The old led strip lights were on their way out with a load of dead leds and more of the leds were flashing
IMG_3119.JPG

I also hadn't fitted them or wired them very well at all as it was a rush to get some lighting in the back, the original factory lights were knackered when I bought it

Changed one of the half shaft seals as it was pouring out and had run all over the brake disc, pads, wheel, tyre and even managed to get splatter off the tyre around the inside of the wheel arch

IMG_3983.JPG

New seal fitted
IMG_3984.JPG

Then it had its mot... and failed, nothing major but an inconvenience all the same

Prop bearing
Rear brakes (oil contamination)
Front tyres (cuts down to the cords apparently) but neither myself or my mechanic could see any cuts let alone any exposed cord.

Getting 4 new tyres fitted on Saturday as the rears are getting a little bit low on tread and one has a nail in it.
Brakes pads are easy enough, doubt I'll even need to wind the caliper piston as I only fitted the pads about 2 weeks ago
Prop shaft bolts have been given a liberal spraying of penetrating oil so hopefully that won't cause too much of a head ache.

Now all I need are a few spare hours to sort it all

Got it back in for MoT retest so another years ticket on it

Had a bit of grief with the prop bearing, managed to get the old one off, quickest option was to just cut the outer bits off and then use a puller to get the bearing off
IMG_4033.JPG

I bought a febi blistein bearing from gsf car parts but I just couldn't get it on, mangled itvin the process. So picked up another one from a different place and it went on with just a few taps of the socket and hammer
