Chasing the Tin worm

hi everyone have just started to do work on my MK7 and will be asking questions as i go am sure. Here is the first of the pics , my intention is to eradicate the rust front to back.

More rust under the N/S front wing , think i need a new inner panel as well .. any one done this section before could do with a few pointers.

finally finished cutting the crap out of the N/S step and inner wheel arch and inner and outer sill, started to offer up panels that i have cut to size to ensure a neat finish, just waiting on the inner wheel arch splash panel to turn up so i can dummy fit with the other panels before welding. I guarantee if i just went ahead and welded before i joggled all the panels into some thing will look mis aligned. Lots of surface rust to be treated before i weld in new panels and box in that section

It is rusty in all the usual places brett , but its got a good engine and i will never put an old transit to sleep.

Today was another challenging episode, had to cut a portion of the N/S panel by the door to slide in the a new splash guard panel, only way i could get in there.

Final fit before welding starts , seems to have taken forever but so close.
