Looks like I have my first issue with the van...the dreaded ABS / ESP lights are stuck on.

So far, trying to get rid of them, we've changed front discs & pads and rear speed sensors have been replaced (though it turns out they were done not so long ago...) While redoing the rears, the mechanic repaired a tear in the wiring so thats one thing to rule out. Yet, despite trying to clear the codes both lights refuse to die. Done a bit of searching on here and asked Dr Google, is there any sure fire way of determining that it is/isn't ABS pump??? The scanner keeps pointing to the OSR speed sensor, even though its now been replaced and the wiring to it is fine.

I've had the bumpers painted in raptor (you can see briefly in the vid below but still working on a van update vid which, as long as I'm not pished most of next weekend, should go live a week today.

Trying to get a replacement ABS pump from one of the vans in our yard. Dingbro apparently don't have any for my old van, so fingers crossed we get a match. Booked into the workshops tomorrow to have that swapped.

On the bright side, the bumpers look well ace in raptor 8)

I had issues with my abs light being on, if you have forscan you can pick the 4 separate wheel speed sensors and watch the live data on a short drive. On mine one of the front showed 0mph while the others showed the correct speed.

The light can only be reset by seeing it work correctly, I think on mine I started it the light came on, drove round the corner and it went off, can't remember if it 5 or 15mph for it to accept it's correct but it's easily past with normal driving.

Another area I had an issues was the plug not clicking together properly so after around it had wiggled/rattled its way out enough to stop. I replaced the sensor but no luck, then dug the o ring out of the plug and tried it and it worked so left the wrong out and raped it up. Should replace the plug but I can't be bothered to find one lol
Good luck

I think you were pretty close!

I was under the impression that both rear speed sensors were swapped out at the start of the month, turns out they werent!

OSR was hanging loose (behind a grubby disc & pad) so yesterday my spare bearing was fitted, along with new rear discs, pads & the offending speed sensor replaced.

By this point we'd already fitted a spare ABS module from a van in the yard, but that made no difference. Refitting my original ABS pump lead to the lights FINALLY going out...but then, the guy doing the work accidentally let it hit the concrete in the workshop. So now I DO need a replacement ABS pump.

Getting there but no van this weekend

Also turns out getting a brand new ABS pump these days is tricky?

So...got the ABS pump done, a bit of faff later and I got the van home...only for the light to come on again at the weekend!

Turns out the NSF speed sensor was frayed, so the guys in the workshop have rerouted it securely and fitted a new sensor. That's taken care of...and now the vans running a tad lumpy. Not sure why yet, but it's already annoying me

I'm kinda hoping it's just bad diesel as it seems to have started after my last top up at the weekend. But could be EGR/Turbo from what I've read on here? Certainly seems to get worse/more noticable as the engine warms up.

Vans!!
