Week holiday, went to Blackpool last Saturday and returned Sunday, bumped into a shed load of Motorcycles all parked at charnock Richards services, some guy on a pilgrimage or something loads of bridges were occupied by people waving at us

Anyway that left Monday week to get on with the van. Been running in the evening too so I've been tired and grumpy. Anyway. Fitted both side skirts. What a tw@ of a job bending brackets etc back and forth back and forth, then I ran out of penny rivets, done them now and just short of some plum jacking the sills op by the skirts I don't think they're going anywhere.

I drove over one of the bridges with lots of people waving to many many motorcycles on sat... somewhere near Leicester. Have you jacked the van up yet?

Raised it? It's high enough with the wheels, it has moon boots and it's small in height which kind of goes against the look,I don't want it looking ricer if I can help it but I'm thinking roof rails and a small spoiler. To make the height look ok. But I need it lower than 7 feet tall to get under most barriers.

Bit more, better spray work than the other side,slightly. But got some dust in the front wing on the clearcoat, fook knows where that came from.

Planning on rubbing all of it down with these expensive disks fizak or something. And then upto 6000 then cutting compound

So I've sprayed the whole shell and got 3 clearcoat runs and 1 paint run. I realised why. The spray gun I have has the fan adjustment knob on the left side,I'm left handed,so with the averting of spraying I found that I was slowly winding the fan screw in and a smaller fan means more spray is blown out in a thin jet. Stupid body spray gun.

Looking at that there doesn’t seem to be much orange peel so a good buffing with cutting compound should make that shine like an alkies nose

It's mostly good,few bits of over spray which will come out. But there's a trend these days of 'glassing' clearcoat. Looks amazing. Even factory mass produced cars are that not glass texture but are coming in the glass variety slowly. I think all fords from 2012 are base and clear coat.

Ah so your lacquering it as well, are you going to float the clear
