My new project

Postby sportscott » Sat Jul 05, 2008 2:22 pm

Finally given up on the mk3 with diesel the price it is and the nieghbour reversing into with a luton box and doing a runner. So I've got this http://www.marktplaats.nl/index.php?url ... -1997.html
Lpg paid 2500 euro for it  the tailgate is rotten and will need a new exhaust but genuine miles. Going to pick it up next weekend. The mk3 will be cannibilised and sold off in bits

If the tailgate is a straightish swap then I'll be putting the one on from the mk3, which is original and rot free can you believe :) The radio is coming out of the white one and going in the silver mk5 as an upgrade, it's a 6000 series. There is also electric mirrors and heated rear screen, and adjustable head lights. Headliner is holed but again might have one. Four new continental Vanco tyres. Got what I believe was a good deal but see petrol Trannies don't seem popular. For me it will be very handy and save me big euro $$$ in fuel if it does'nt turn out to be a lemon
