Finally given up on the mk3 with diesel the price it is and the nieghbour reversing into with a luton box and doing a runner. So I've got this http://www.marktplaats.nl/index.php?url ... -1997.html
Lpg paid 2500 euro for it the tailgate is rotten and will need a new exhaust but genuine miles. Going to pick it up next weekend. The mk3 will be cannibilised and sold off in bits

If the tailgate is a straightish swap then I'll be putting the one on from the mk3, which is original and rot free can you believe The radio is coming out of the white one and going in the silver mk5 as an upgrade, it's a 6000 series. There is also electric mirrors and heated rear screen, and adjustable head lights. Headliner is holed but again might have one. Four new continental Vanco tyres. Got what I believe was a good deal but see petrol Trannies don't seem popular. For me it will be very handy and save me big euro $$$ in fuel if it does'nt turn out to be a lemon
