Well, after having been stood in my shed for 4 years I've finally dragged the old girl out. I finally got the bonnet open after sacrificing the grille, which was broken anyway. I haven't actually seen under the bonnet before as the cable had snapped when I went to buy it!

I put a decent battery on it, gave it some heat, and it started on the first compression! Didn't even turn over once! I've never known a Yorkie start like this.

Anyway, inner wings need work, I knew that, but I've seen worse.

So. it'll be a slow job, but I'll keep you posted.

Fair bit of welding to do underneath - that's the first job. I'll do it like I did my old Mk3



I want to keep it fairly original, although I do have an old luton with a banana Di and 5 speed box and power steering which may find it's way across...
