Recover Restoration....

Postby Gatecrasher » Fri Apr 06, 2012 5:42 pm

Hi, picked up a transit recovery truck this week...

Image

The arches wings and sills are shot and will need replacing... How much should these be to have replaced any ideas?

Found a set of panels on eBay for £99 here...

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewit ... 0733253627

On the MOT the brakes have an advisory against them and for the price of parts I thought I may aswell do a few other parts whilebim at it...

Again via eBay I found one company local that does everything on this list

(PAIR) REAR SHOCK ABSORBERS
(PAIR) FRONT SHOCK ABSORBERS
(PAIR) 15" 6 STUD BRAND NEW HI SPEC DISKS
(PAIR) REAR BRAKE DRUMS 6 STUD
BRAKE PADS FOR FRONT
FRONT BRAKE HOSE N/S LEFT
FRONT BRAKE HOSE O/S RIGHT
2 x FRONT WHEEL BEARING KITS
2 x REAR WHEEL BRAKE CYLINDERS
REAR BRAKE SHOES

I'm on the hunt for a set of mint seats preferably with arm rests either side of the drivers seat or a set of Tourneo's

Once I have the arches and bits sorted its getting sprayed Polaris grey the same colour as my track car this will be karting about

Also a new front bumper, grill, set of head lights and orange indicators will be added to finish the look off...

Will update when the first lot of parts arrive and I get fitting them

Cheers :)
