This is how I bought it, firts job is to get it looking something like so I can MOT it and run it.

This is the good side! it look s better in the picture here, but its only dents, the arch is a problem.

Then the bad side  The wing is in a bad way here, but I will try to pull out as much as I can for now to get it on the road, then get a new wing for her.

Its a better van than it looks! honest........ :D

After a bit of work its looking better, need the welder out!

After a bit of work with the hammer the van started to take on its old shape again, the arch had a repair, I know it looks a lot of filler in this picture but really its only filling small dents, after some more work the crash damage will be a thing of the past, the front wing is the same, more work and it won't even neet to be replaced

Yes, deffinatley an improvement! If you can find another van in a scrappie (yes, I know they are not exactly ten a penny these days) or a new side panel on ebay, that will transform the whole van.

The panel should look like its never had a prang, but it depends how much time I have to spend on it at the mo so it might just have to look nice till i get round to doing it or getting a new panel, years ago i can remember someone at the local council tip with all new MK1 panels(fullsides, lower panels, wings and bonnets.............it was just one of them times I didn't have time to chat with him or put them somewhere if I got them!..............plus I didn't have one at the time and you could still buy them.....still sad though

RS Alloys

Postby mk2panelvan » Tue Nov 29, 2005 1:27 pm

Been to a scrap yard today and what did I see out of the corner of my eye? yep only a set off RS Alloys for a Transit van.
"Came off a Transit van years ogo them, been kicking round the yard for years they have"
"How much??"
"I want £10 each"
"Great I will have them"
Sadly the two I had spotted had been dropped by someone trying to steal them out of the yard and we could only find three! but he's going to look round for it for me under the hundreds od wheels he has there so fingers crossed.

They even have the center caps and with a change of tyre go straight on!
A Great find or what!!! what will they be worth???

The last 2 sets I saw on eBay didn't go for a lot if at all, but as long as your are happy with them and they look good that's all that matter! :D
