Mk6 SWB "Gabby" - phase 2

Postby sc_BK » Sat Jun 13, 2009 11:31 pm

You might remember my old van Gabby (viewtopic.php?f=27&t=8943), well most of the "goodies" were taken out and fitted to Fay, I was originally hoping to sell her but the prices were so low it didn't seem worthwhile. It's a great wee van, and I had managed to find a use for her as a "car" shared between me and one of my brothers.
For the last few months she's just pottered about locally, with no real work being done on it.

Got some bits and pieces to do, thought I better start a new thread as it's like starting from new again, and I'm no longer the registered keeper

mp3 CD player, also does DVDs if you plug in a screen:

After taking all the junk out the back:

Shelves out, sides out, floor out:

There was some bits of paint flaking off and a bit of surface rust so I went over it in red oxide primer:

New sides/doors cards etc I made up (notice the freshly painted wheelarches):

Still haven't decided what to do with the floor in the back ie vinyl off a roll/vinyl tiles/or floor paint

Nah nice and simple to enable all shapes and sizes to fit, you just bungee them against the soft foam padding

Here's 4 secured in place:
