Yep, going very well. Not much progress at the moment, just done a full service on sunday. Cambelt, water pump, fluids & filters. Sorting out the electrics next, mainly multi plugs for both stalks.

Bit of an update. Not much done to the van as been to busy racing (repairing damage more than racing!) But started racking out the back for tools/ spares and what not.

Only now we got to pull the gearbox out as it seems the friction disc has welded itself to the release plate or the spigot bearing has siezed solid. Will find out soon enough!. I will update what we find this week at some point.

Ok, pulled the gearbox out tonight to find this -

While the box is out Im gonna do the rear crank oil seal/gasket and spigot bearing.
One thing i will say - dont let your slightly deaf dad move a gearbox from under a van while your crawling out. I now have a great big lump on the side of my head where numpty hit me with the bell housing!
Did any of the previous owners on here change the clutch? If so did you get a gorrila to do the bell housing bolts up

If the bolts arnt done up tight they can work loose... happened to me about 10,000 miles after a gearbox and clutch change (done before I got the van)

Im known to do nuts and bolts up "FT", but it took a 2 foot breaker bar with me and dad pulling on it to crack them loose. One of them I had to use a bit of scafold tube as well :D

Just spent all day trying to sort out a radiator after the van sprung a leak this morning :( . Good job it went before we left for hednesford for a race meeting. Had to get a n/a rad for now off a scraper, not ideal but it will do till next week.

New wings and possibly lower arches are needed on both sides.
Near side started

Lower arch

Dad started to cut the panels out before i got there to take any pics. He said the bottom of the arch was mainly filler.
Not finished it yet as rain stopped play :(. Will put more pics up when we can get back out there. Also put on a new tailgate and 'A' bar but no pictures as yet. Oh and had to put a new alternator on it over christmas.
