mk2 crew cab recovery rebuild

Postby oldskooler » Thu Mar 25, 2010 7:42 am

heres a few pics of my mate marks crew cab. hes been looking for a decent one for ages with no luck. this one turned up a while back needing a nice bit of work . typically a couple have turned up for sale on ebay etc since!!!

all in all its a solid truck with a very good chassis but the cab needed a lot of work mostly around the roof gutters, steps and floors. luckilly we bought a chassis/cab for breaking last year with excellent upper cab etc which provided a lot of bits. it will run a turbo di and we also fitted a pas box, should be a nice driver.

heres a few pics i took while giving him a hand with it.

the rear section of roof and gutters were badly rotted so the scrapper came in handy!!

the bottom pillar sections were also gone and had been plated before so again the scrapper came up trumps!

Looks different, guessing the other one is a made up panel.
