On the bright side young Robbie Cee looked like he was enjoying his dad racing and dad got his launches off the line just about spot on today.

What were my "launches " like Jono??Got a lot of axle tramp and wheel spin off the line which wastes valuable time.Just couldn`t get that magic 70`s speed.(67,68,68,69) :( .Enjoyed the event again though and was great to catch up with Forum friends, old and new.

Yeah a few in the know recognised the Essex when I had the bonnet up in the queue.
Luckily I got core plugs already so one is easy other a slag as it means new gaskets for timing cover and poss Sump.
Plus the others will most be likely going rotten too!
Wish I thought to do em when I did the rebuild!

Still had fun except for. Not being able to breathe without rig check up my ass, especially annoying at the end when trying to time up engine he is saying I can't understand why it won't run then 'we fixed it' once dialled in.

SPACE MAN, GIVE ME SPACE!

So few more bits on the to do list... Core plug above starter then starter bolts first!

All those who know me will know that's just my luck LOL

Even the pinto clocked 70 on one run
My best was 64 mph which is fookin dire

Need to establish why the dizzy jumps put of block too guess it wants welding in place

Til I got to Basildon, drive home was how it used to be once timing originally sorted.

Feel like torching the fkin thing at mo!
