Just concentrate on one bit at a time, if it was a rusty lawnmower you wouldn't think much of repairing it. Think of each bit as that.

Cheers chaps. It just gets so frustrating. I am actually looking forward to doing the interior. But this bodywork thing is really getting me down. I will stick with it for now, gets on my nerves walking past it when in not getting owt done.

That's the ticket get on with the interior so its comfortable inside for "Le famil'ie La Mont" and don't worry about the outside (you wont see it when your drivin anyway ) but a couple of days will sort most of it (we'll get shot of that nasty big scrape first and at least get some primer on it ) Get a big (3kgs) tin of filler if you can if you cant then let me know and i'll get one and fetch it with me I'll fetch all my kit rather than ask what I need (what you don't have)

i would have started on the inside already, but one of the bars has come away from the 3/4 panel where it has had that bump. Looks like it should be bonded. And i need to weld a patch where the electric hook up is . Then there's the electrics. Wires everywhere. When i actually wrote down what needs doing to get a game plan together it got a little overwhelming.

Ok well ive got plenty of PU adhesive/bonding as well so as long as its fairly straight we can sort that out (or i'll cut one out of old van I have up the shed and we can weld that in once we've straightened up panel a bit ) just work round it for now

Today i r be mostly undoing my previous work.

sanded the front wings back and got rid of most of my filler abortion. Got rid of all the rust as best i can. Good coat of vactan.
Mrs Monty at Milton Keynes all day tomorrow watching the kings of Leon. So just me and the little montys. Progress may be slow but i intend to get a bit more smoothing done, hopefully a tad more tidy than last time

Managed to get a bit done today even thou the little Montys were kicking about.
Got a bit of advice on the rustoleum paint job too. Apparently the best way to do it is brush it on. Then flat it off with finishing paper ( im guessing that is very fine wet and dry ). Then go over it a couple or three times with a 50/50 mix of paint and thinners with the gloss rollers. So I am going to give that a go.

Also managed to get a Range Rover Jack from the scrap yard so I got my Modulars on the Disco.

The secret to todays success is give the little Montys a fiver each and let them loose in the factory shop and sainsburys. They bought enough tat and Poppadoms ( they love them ) to keep the little blighters amused all day.
